I'm actually so serious that spotify wrapped is one of my favourite holidays of the year and the fact that it's taking a week longer to release this year than I was fully convinced it would actually take is pretty agonising. But also opening the wikipedia article about it and seeing it described simply as a "viral marketing campaign" cracked me up in a sad way because well. Yeah of course it's that. Of course it's a viral marketing campaign first and foremost. But also give me my stats and my 100 top songs of the year playlist NOOOWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#there's several reasons why i consider november my favourite month of the year and it doesn't even matter that much that i have last fm now #i still want to see just exactly how many minutes of sparks listening i managed to squeeze into these 10 and a half months #and i'm really excited about the fact that each year i have a considerably greater number of minutes listened #and all tracks and artists played through the year. but this year might completely blow the previous ones out of the water #in big part because i've been drawing much more and i always listen to music when i draw #september alone probably consisted in like 1/4 of its length if not more of just music listening #and ofc the playlist with which it's my yearly tradition to listen to it without spoilers and have the delightful moments of:#listening to a playlist of my most replayed songs and thinking 'wow i can't believe this playlist has my favourite songs in it'#even if it's not entirely accurate as i've learned in the previous years #like for one thing it only lets the same artist reappear every 4 songs on the list (not counting the top 5)#because otherwise all my playlists from 2021 until now would have been like 50-75% just one artist and nothing else #ok since i'm already on this topic my last fm is kitten_intro if anyone would be interested in checking it out lol #stats not entirely accurate anymore because i could no longer be bothered to delete all the hundreds of double scrobbles since july or so #i might try to clean all that up by the end of the year but who knows how annoying it will be in practice and if i really go through with it #but still. look at the ratio between my two most listened to bands and everything else boy #already tells you all you need to know about my music listening habits #goosepost

anyway, happy one year anniversary to my fic “if only there was more time” and posting on ao3 for the first time!

sincerely can’t believe that i’ve been writing for a year, how did that happen???

#i still can’t believe i decided to post anything at all #i remember wanting to keep fic writing to myself #but right after clicking post on ch 1 i went to my roommates and was like #guess what i just did!!!!#i didn’t even know i liked creative writing until this fic #but i feel so incredibly happy that i found this hobby #it helped me in so many ways #it got me out of the cave #i got my creative spark back that i foolishly thought i lost #this is the largest writing project i've ever worked on #i had no idea what i was doing at any point #the idea just needed to get out and i tried my best #is it completely accurate to the characters? probably not but who’s to say?#i like to think i have some idea now but i can never really be sure #i sincerely love this fic despite its flaws it'll always hold a special place in my heart #also still can’t believe that ppl actually liked it and left such nice comments!! that's actually crazy!!#like i’ll never get over that it still doesn’t feel real #here i am now with 6 works and 227k words in total written #that is so fucking much i have no idea how i did that #and how the fuck did i write this fic in less than 6 months??? where did that drive go???#anyways shout out to my followers that are here bc of this fic #i love you more than anything <3 #and to the few that have read the entire series: i will write the last installment one day!!#i will not leave it unfinished!!

#help I thought it was real so bad #in the dream i was literally sitting on my bed watching the episode #their voices sounded like 100% accurate too 😭#baby’s first eaps dream #I think I mostly remember it #I don’t remember the beginning at all #but I remember at one point it was like #Puppet and Foxy in Foxy’s room and Puppet was like. acting weird #something something she’s getting like #weirdly violent. but not physical just verbally? but she also sounds distressed??#she sounded VERY distressed it was weird #I vividly remember Foxy said absolutely nothing during this entire part and literally in the dream I was like ‘Foxy?? Hello???’#‘Help your Wife man she’s clearly suffering????’#I vividly remember her saying ‘if this sounds wrong it’s because it is’#and then her body got. Spooky. like she looked like a weird Roblox avatar but 100% worse #next thing I know shes chasing Solar for some reason??#but not running just fast walking #and Solar’s like ‘oh god oh no–‘#I remember Puppet was saying stuff during this part but I don’t remember what it was #last thing I remember is suddenly it was from Solar’s perspective and he turned around and stabbed Puppet in the chest #she kinda just stood there after that and stared at him #then I woke up #.#so yeah anyways #dunno what that was about #lmao #eaps

#lmao #richard iii #my post #I think that's true for all usurpations and coups to an extent #but its 10x more applicable and accurate for Richard III #Not only because of the compressed length of time (a mere 3 months as opposed to years of back-and-forth tensions)#but also because ultimately one of the key reasons Richard could do what he did was because he did it from the heart of the political #institution (ie he was an internal threat rather than an external one)#and he was someone who was trusted and loved rather than mistrusted and hated. His betrayal was political but it also had far more personal #ramifications for everyone involved - most people simply did not expect it from him and cooperated with him precisely because of that #which enabled him to seize power before most people even realized what he was doing #And there's the fact that he actually did stage a conspiracy by accusing the Woodvilles of plotting to attack and ambush him #and produced weapons from his own war in Scotland as fake 'proof' - when in fact we know that HE deceived and ambushed THEM #there's also the (propagandic) lie that they usurped him from the position as Lord Protector when they certainly didn't #either Edward IV didn't appoint Richard Lord Protector meaning the Woodvilles denied him nothing #OR the council collectively chose to have a council rule during Edward V's minority rather than a Protector (something they were entirely #within their rights to do both socially and legally)#so claims that they wrongly defied Edward IV's last wishes or broke the law (which Mancini repeats in his account) must be seen as exactly #that - propagandic lies to vilify EW and her family #when in fact Richard was the one plotting a seizure of power - whether it was as Lord Protector or as King #(of course these are just two things - there's a whole laundry list of others)#so this is definitely applicable to him

i want to get started on the Full Hands List but i am waiting on my apartment people for scheduled maintenance and i don't really want to start until they leave but i also have no idea what time they'll make it to my apartment so we're just playing the waiting game now

#at my old apartment i was one of the first to get the maintenance bc my apartment number was just higher on the list #so it was usually around 10-11am #but im much further down now and idk how long it'll take #this isn't my FIRST TIME having the preventative maintenance in this apartment but the last times i just went to bed and got woken up #when they knocked #bc i was still on nights and i had no idea how long it'd be and didnt want to stay awake #and i did NOT check the time when they finally arrived #i just let them in and waited until they left so i could go back to sleep lmao #so #we'll see ig #I'm also splitting this into 3 days instead of don't all 3 seasons at once ill do a season a day #largely bc of time in general and how it's like. 12 hours of show.#and im be starting late today bc of *gestures at post*#but also it's going to be LONGER cus i have to pause every time hands shown up so i can note the timestamp #which ofc makes the whole process much. Yes I did buy the Biblical Christmas musical movie.

#After all the awful movies put out the last few years this one is just cheesy and FUN.#And also the songs are fun? And complete earworms.#It just seems like everyone involved had a lot of fun and put a lot of time/effort/love into this movie.#I miss when movies did that instead of just throwing big budgets at massive disappointments.#They did Disney Princess Yas-ify Mary though which was. Probably my biggest complaint but honestly the movie is just so fun.#They did a LOT with such a tiny budget.#And it's genuinely funny too like we're five minutes in and I'm already cackling #I also just love this era of history and while it's not entirely accurate it's. Fun.#And still lots of effort clearly put in like AAAH sorry it's just. Fun.#text #chey.txt

I also need to point out that these things are skills, and some people will in fact be bad at them even if they have been taught. I was also taught touch typing but that doesn't mean i can even remotely type as fast as, or even while i think, thats an uncommon and valuable skill actually.

Plus i need everyone in the notes claiming that various things are totally easy and anyone can just do it by googling, half the time with sentences incomprehensible even to me, someone halfway educated on the subject, to shut up forever. You are being at best ignorant and arrogant and at worst just a dick.

We do need more education, and is both concerning and a problem how little some people know when computers are so vital nowadays! The fact that we need more education is precisely because it is a difficult subject that a majority of people won't and can't just figure out on their own! Acting like its easy and its natural to pick up this knowledge without trying will do the opposite of helping anyone understand computers better.

Telling young zoomers to "just switch to linux" is nuts some of these ipad kids have never even heard of a cmd.exe or BIOS you're throwing them to the wolves

#I don't mean the people who added to this post btw i mean mostly several people in the notes #Last addition i think you just suffer from a case of expert brain and are vastly underestimating your skill #I know many people educated in how to use computers and who work with them who cannot type that fast #Heck most people cant write that fast either #I genuinely think you mean well but underestimating the difficulty and amount of skill needed for this isn't helpful #You know who i am fully intending to call out however #That one person in the notrs arguing about how linux is totally easy with a whole paragraph that is entirely incomprehensible to even me #And while i dont consider myself an expert i have at this point passed several classes on programming #Which means i know the basics of someone educated at university level which puts me way above average knowledge #And if you say ah yes anyone can understand this and i can't then you're just so far off any accurate understanding of other people #That you are in fact just an idiot
